Prologue
Intending to turn the Divine Power against the Gods themselves, the
progenitor of humanity Adam Weishaupt was struck down by the Symphogear,
transmuted by the Lapis Philosophorum powered by Saint-Germain's ideals.
The secretive Bavarian Illuminati met its end,
and the remnants forced into a corner by the actions of various governments.
And—
The Illuminati weren't the only ones driven into a corner.
The former superpower America had once again turned its nuclear weapons towards Japan.
Facing international criticism, they were forced into solitude on the world stage.
Although they wish for a political solution
in order to prevent the embargo from becoming the spark of a new global conflict,
conflicting expectations of national parties led only to discord, and progress is nearly non-existent.
Even Japan, one of the countries involved,
had sent an appeal to America for a cooperative partnership to mend the broken relationship between the two countries.
Despite this, the act began and ended in superficiality and no agreement was ever reached.
The fate of the world is one that no-one can yet see.
Furthermore, the tensions run high at home as well.
From a place where all the city's landmarks could be viewed at once,
riding in a gondola on the large Ferris wheel famed as a dating location,
were Lydian Private Music Academy students Tachibana Hibki and Kohinata Miku.
The taiyaki they hold in their hands, filled with rice dumplings, are splendid.
Without being too sweet, the epitome of red bean paste has no faults to speak of.
Yet even so, as tension runs between them,
Miku calmly poses a question to Hibiki.
Sure enough, a question that the answer to which lies only within Hibiki, who is at a loss for words.
The threads of legend weaved in the past converge on XV.
The battle around the holy corpse occurs in the dead of summer.
With the bursting lake's surface as their stage, the Girls' voices unleash their radiance.

The Symphogear System#2
Based on the "Sakurai Theory" established by the 2nd Division of the Special Disaster Response Force's former technology expert, Sakurai Ryouko, "Symphogear" is a generic term for the various functions able to be performed by a relic fragment.
The Symphogear's greatest trait is its internal function that plays a melody upon activation of the system derived from the Adaptor's thoughts and emotions via sympathetic vibration. By synchronizing that melody with the Adaptor through singing, the Symphogear displays an incredibly high level of battle potential.
With the passing of the inventor, Sakurai Ryouko, development of new Symphogears is impossible and the technology is considered to be lost.
Harmonizer#4
Individuals whose songs resonate with a relic are capable of producing the "chant" necessary to activate the Symphogear—they are called "Harmonizers." Currently there are three categories of Harmonizers.
The first type are individuals like Tsubasa, Chris and Serena. They are born with an innate aptitude which can stabilize through proper training.
The second type are individuals like Kanade, Maria, Shirabe and Kirika. Although they are born with an innate aptitude, training alone is not enough and they require doses of drugs in order to temporarily raise their link coefficient.
The third type is unique to a single individual, Hibiki. At first she became an Adaptor as a result of her body fusing with her relic after an accident. However, in Earth's eleventh hour, she became a true Harmonizer not through training or drugs, but by forcibly obtaining the necessary link coefficient.
Furthermore, a hypothesis exists that Tachibana Hibiki's evolution into a true Harmonizer was largely in part due to a particular event that occurred during the Frontier Incident. Investigation into this possibility is currently ongoing.
LiNKER#6
A support drug that aids in linking the Symphogear System to the nerves in the human body.
If an individual has even a small amount of the necessary link coefficient, the LiNKER drug can forcibly raise that amount to the level of a Harmonizer.
Of course, the higher the link coefficient must be raised, the greater the strain put upon the body. It is an incredibly dangerous and intense drug. Subjects who used it were often put into a state of shock and lost consciousness. Clinical trials resulted more often in crippling or killing individuals than actually turning them into a Harmonizer.
Although the original developer was the same Sakurai Ryouko as the Symphogear System the F.I.S biochemistry team, under the charge of Dr. Ver, took over the project and proceeded under the theme of "Pleasant for You." They successfully developed a safer form of LiNKER with a very small physical burden and a more thorough cleansing process. The final recipe was completed by S.O.N.G.'s alchemical adviser, Elfnein.
Currently, the Adaptors Maria Cadenzavna Eve, Tsukuyomi Shirabe, and Akatsuki Kirika use LiNKER as an intermediary for the Symphogear System.
Bavarian Illuminati#7
A secret society that originated in Europe.
From ancient times, the group has maneuvered in secret and manipulated history. As a result, they are responsible for the current state of Europe which has led to it being named the "Dark Continent."
At the end of a fierce battle, Lodgemaster Adam Weishaupt was killed and the organization collapsed.
The fringes of the organization were driven underground, and are in the process of being hunted down and exposed by various state agencies.
Alchemy#8
A type of heretical technology, wholly separate from modern science. It originated in Europe and has remained in the shadows as it spread throughout the world, up until today.
It allows the user to perform transmutation by sacrificing their life-force and memories. Alchemy is sometimes referred to as magic.
Alchemy is a technical system that has many variations, however its manipulation of energy is very similar to the techniques presented in the Sakurai Theory.
Deicide#9
In the end, the source was neither Hibiki or Gungnir. Rather it was the concept of Gungnir, its very existence having become warped after thousands of years through the power of words.
It's different from the Symphogear, which uses the power of song, and rather is classified as a "Philosophical Armament."
It is the ultimate weapon against the otherworldly principle of Divine Providence, which is normally able to reverse any damage received.
This makes Tachibana Hibiki's fist a deadly and immediate poison for the divine beings who have stood in humanity's way countless times.
"The power to slay God lies in the hands that hold us together."
